If you are just starting with setting up hotel beds or folding beds for the first time, it might be easy to overlook the idea of ever replacing your units. The fact is all beds you set up in a hotel are going to need replacing after a time. In many cases, modern hotel chains choose to look into bed hire, instead, so they don’t need to mess around with buying a new unit every so often.
With this in mind, how often should you ideally be upgrading hotel beds or your mattress? Could hiring hotel beds hold the key to an efficient and cost-effective way to keep your rooms healthy, comfortable, and fresh?
As anyone who’s ever had to buy one or more beds for their home before knows, mattresses do have a shelf life of sorts. The average mattress, though comfy and supportive, is not going to last forever. No matter how many times you flip or turn that mattress, there is still going to be a need for you to swap it out for a newer model in the long run.
Generally, replacing a mattress means keeping them clean and hygienic as well as keeping things comfy and supportive. In a hotel, with a variety of guests heading into your rooms night after night, replacing your mattresses is going to be the healthiest option. Unfortunately, though we can’t see it, a hotel mattress is likely to clog up with all kinds of dirt, sweat, and bacteria over years of use. Therefore, it is a good idea to keep a replacement strategy in mind.
Generally, depending on your hotel establishment, your turnover, and even the types of mattresses you use, you may only need to switch your mattresses out once every three to five years. A similar amount of time likely applies at home.
However, it is always worth checking your hotel bed or mattress situation out before you go ahead and make any wild purchases. The fact is mattress buying can be really expensive. Though you might not need to swap your hotel bed out at all for some time depending on the look of the piece, swapping out all your mattresses in one hotel is going to be pretty disastrous for your bank balance.
There are tons of great reasons why hotel bed hire may be altogether more convenient and less costly for you in the long run. For one thing, by setting up a hiring schedule, you are always making sure that there is a fresh, new bed in place.
What’s more, folding beds are available for hire and are easy to store. Not only that, but it’s one less piece of inventory you have to own and take responsibility for.
Beyond that, think of the savings. Set up a low-cost rental schedule and avoid paying huge mattress fees across the years to come!
